On the Record by Onur Baykal

Genre-agnostic music discovery, playlists & spotlights.

Slide 1

On the Record is an independent music publication curated by Onur Baykal that cuts through algorithmic noise to bring you songs worth hearing and the stories behind them. Every week, subscribers get "The Rotation"—a hand-picked, genre-agnostic playlist update spanning indie, alt-rock, late-night R&B, pop, electronic, and global sounds—alongside track-by-track liner notes, deep-dive album spotlights, and candid artist Q&As. No genre walls, no algorithmic filler—just human-first music curation.
