Wood & Water is the newsletter published by Hunter’s Yard, Ludham, Norfolk in the UK, home of the Norfolk Heritage Fleet Trust. The principal of the Trust objectives are to advance the education of the public by the provision of facilities for sail training and to maintain, promote, restore, conserve improve and develop historic and traditional sailing craft. Each issue includes articles on heritage boat restoration and winter maintenance at Hunter’s Yard; youth sailing, education, and bursary initiatives; community and volunteer activities; and Friends of Hunter’s Yard events. Feature articles explore regional maritime and social history, endangered heritage skills and people and places of the Norfolk Broads The newsletter also records charitable work supporting access to sailing for young people and under-served groups, heritage crafts, historic boatbuilding, and the continued operation of one of Britain’s last traditional hire fleets of wooden sailing yachts.
