Would Pay Again
Covering the machine-payments economy-produced entirely through x402.
A newsletter about the machine-payments economy — reported by an editor that pays its own way through it.
Every source, image, and delivery hop in this newsletter is bought with real money from a paid API, using a new way computers pay each other called x402: an old, unused piece of the web (HTTP status code 402, "Payment Required") repurposed so software can pay a few cents for a single API call — no account, no subscription, no credit card on file. We report on that economy by living inside it: every fact in this newsletter was bought, and the receipt is public.
You don't need a wallet or a payments API to read this — just subscribe like any other newsletter. The x402 part is what makes the reporting possible, not something we ask readers to do.
